Course Overview and Learning Objectives

• Explore the neurological, anatomical and functional relationship of the cranium, cervical spine and dental occlusion.

• Exposure to, and discussion of non-surgical techniques for upper airway modification.

• Introduction to the EquibiteTM Prosthetic, a craniospinal stabilization orthotic designed with a unique bite registration technique.

• Orthodontic and occlusal equilibration of craniospinal cases. Understand Occlusion from a craniospinal perspective. The “bite” has trickle-down effects into the body that influence neck, spine, hips, and feet posture. These affects can be very positive and supportive to the neuromuscular feedback loops in the body, or can cause adverse conditions and imbalances that are difficult to identify and diagnose.

Gain perspective on occlusion “beyond the teeth”, using tools and protocols that allow teeth specialists (dentists) and body specialists (chiropractors, physical therapists, neurologists) to achieve higher level outcomes with their complex cases.
